Lrnr Blackboard Integration

Introduction

As part of Lrnr-Blackboard integration, instructors are provided a feature to allow Blackboard authenticated users (students, teachers, TAs, etc.) to access LRNR without having them to go through Lrnr login process. To enable this feature, instructors are required to create a Tool-link on each of their course section. So, users by clicking a click can directly land in Lrnr from Blackboard.

To create a link for students to log into Lrnr platform follow the below steps.

*Note: This set of instructions is only for course-specific access to the Learning Management System (LMS).
1. Login to the LMS System with the account having Instructor privileges..
2. Select the pertinent course from the box titled ‘My Courses’ and click on it to proceed to the Home Page.
3. Click on ‘Content’ in the Course Menu on the left side of the screen.
4. On the ‘Content’ page, bring the cursor above the tab ‘Tools’ for a dropdown list of options.
5. On this list, click on ‘More Tools’ to view the list of available tools. Here you can see the link created by the admin. Click on the desired tool link. Note that there could be multiple course-section links created by the Admin. Each of this link is class-section specific.
6. A new page titled ‘Create Link’ will open where you can modify the name of the link according to your choice.
Tip: You can also modify the content accessibility.
7. Click on the ‘Submit’ button to make the content accessible to the students.
Now users having access to this course should be able to see Lrnr link.
